Two major problems with this commercial. First, does anyone else get perturbed when a song they adore* ends up on a commercial?
And second, the statement here is “my kitchen is a stage,” and then there’s some feminine watercolors insinuating a flourish of creativity, animated. So, what I’m inferring is – buy this faucet, not only will you will make an incredible fish dish, you also are now free, pretty fashionista independent travel lifestyle marketing marketing woman purchase power YEAH!
No.
*song here is Goldfrapp’s Little Bird
oK cool kid, using your fave song to sell & fashionista marketing is bad, blahblahblah.
I totally dig the commercial. It’s pretty, creative, and I like the song. Smart.
SOLD!… to the girl w/ purchase power.
DIRGNI. This is Queen Dirgni to the rest of you, btw.
Judging by my quick internerding skillz, you’re in marketing.
ENEMY.
And marketing for TEENS NONETHELESS.
SUPER. ENEMY.
Haha Meatball is back to being Old Testament. I had to watch this with sound off, but I don’t know that band anyway.
It reminds me of the Purina commercial!
I am concerned with the message this commercial sends, though–the woman turns into a mermaid who turns into a fish who ends up in the sink? I feel it is a metaphor for women and consumer culture.
Teens, women. I’ve got lots of evil to share.
