I’m little ambivalent about the whole soda tax thing. I don’t drink it and there are obv some health issues surrounding soda intake. On the other hand, I’d like to see more taxes on, say, meals that cost over $200, or expense accounts, or Ye Olde Wall Street Bonuses. How about a tax on bottle service, corporate jets, and anyone that uses the term “unpack” when talking about something other than a suitcase?

However, I am not ambivalent about the shady anti-soda tax ads that are running all over the place. “It’s a tax on families!” “A tax on the simple pleasures, such as juice and soda.” OH FUCK YOU.
